Shabby chic large vintage mirror - Lucea Row

I’m inspired by living spaces that are light and bright.  Shabby chic touches, like a large vintage mirror are wonderful for making a space seem lived in.

Pendant lighting can really make a space shine and doesn’t take up space like floor lamps. They are also a little less formal than a grand chandelier. I love a statement chandelier though, for living and dining areas. An oversize mirror really opens up a room and makes the space seem bigger.

Double doors in an entry way bring in tons of light. I’ve always had a soft spot for French doors. I lived in Paris my junior year of college and developed a fondness for the wine, the food and the architecture. A sideboard in the foyer provides a nice place for flowers to greet you as you come in from a long day.

Which decorating tips and tricks do you use to make a space your own?
